The IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT 2001) will bring together researchers, academics and industry practitioners who are involved or interested in the design and development of advanced and emerging learning technologies.

Understanding of the challenges faced in providing technology tools to support learning process and ease the creation of instruction material will help building a direction for further research and implementation work.

The ICALT 2001 conference is scheduled just before The 17th Annual Conference on Distance Teaching & Learning which will take place at the Marriott Madison West in Madison, Wisconsin from August 8-10.

The official language of the ICALT 2001 conference is English.

The proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press and will be distributed to the participants in the conference.
