In occasione della Open Education Week 2025, che si terrà dal 3 al 7 marzo, la rete Open Education Italia organizza un incontro dedicato alla presentazione della Dichiarazione di Dubai sulle Risorse Educative Aperte (OER) dal titolo “digital public goods and emerging technologies for equitable and inclusive access to knowledge”. L’evento si propone di approfondire le implicazioni e le opportunità offerte dal documento recentemente adottato a livello internazionale, promuovendo il dibattito tra esperti, educatori e bibliotecari.
L’incontro, che si svolgerà il 4 marzo 2025 dalle ore 10 alle ore 11, vedrà la partecipazione di Javiera Atenas, docente di apprendimento e insegnamento presso l’Università del Suffolk nel Regno Unito, che, in collaborazione con il Dr. Tel Amiel, Cattedra dell’UNESCO in Open Education and Technologies for the Common Good in Brasile, ha contribuito alla stesura della Dichiarazione di Dubai, di Paola Corti del Politecnico di Milano e OE Community Manager dell’European Network of Open Education Librarians (ENOEL), di Fabio Nascimbeni, esperto della European Training Foundation e di Damiano Orrù in rappresentanza dell’Associazione Italiana Biblioteche (AIB), insieme a ricercatori, insegnanti e professionisti del settore educativo e bibliotecario.
L’incontro sarà un’occasione per conoscere la recente dichiarazione UNESCO e discutere il ruolo delle OER nel contesto italiano, con particolare attenzione alle politiche di accesso aperto alla conoscenza e alle strategie per l’integrazione delle risorse educative aperte nelle pratiche didattiche e nella gestione delle biblioteche, anche con l’avvento delle nuove tecnologie emergenti.

L’iniziativa si rivolge a ricercatori, bibliotecari, insegnanti e tutti gli interessati all’educazione aperta. La partecipazione è aperta a tutti e gratuita, ma è gradita l’iscrizione sul sito Open Education Italia.

Open Education Week 2025: Open Education Italia presents the Dubai Declaration on OER to the Italian Community
On the occasion of Open Education Week 2025, taking place from March 3 to 7, the Open Education Italia network is organizing a meeting dedicated to presenting the Dubai Declaration on Open Educational Resources (OER) “Digital public goods and emerging technologies for equitable and inclusive access to knowledge”. The event aims to explore the implications and opportunities offered by the recently adopted international document, fostering discussion among experts, educators, and librarians.
The meeting, scheduled for March 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM CET, will feature Javiera Atenas, Senior Lecturer in Learning and Teaching at the University of Suffolk, UK, who, in collaboration with Dr. Tel Amiel, UNESCO Chair in Open Education and Technologies for the Common Good in Brazil, contributed to drafting the 2024 Declaration. Other participants include Paola Corti from Politecnico di Milano and OE Community Manager of the European Network of Open Education Librarians (ENOEL), Fabio Nascimbeni, from the European Training Foundation, and Damiano Orrù, representing the Italian Library Association (AIB), along with researchers, teachers, and professionals in the education and library sectors.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to learn about the recent UNESCO declaration on OER and discuss its role in the Italian context. It will particularly focus on open access policies and strategies for integrating open educational resources into teaching practices and library management.
